Head colds in Los Angeles
Getting a cold sucks. Everyone knows this. Getting a cold in the summer sucks even more. Getting a cold when it's actually cold outside makes sense. Immune system is worn down due to the cold air, and that's why the sickness gets hold. Getting a cold when it's hot out makes is crazy by this reasoning. Now, in most places that I have lived the chance of a summer time cold only lasts for 4 months or so...
But not in Los Angeles...here the potential is there 365 days a year!
Ugh, I caught a cold. For no reason that I know of. I woke up Sunday morning with a full head and a stuffed up nose. I blamed it on the Santa Anna's (the winds, not the city) but when I woke up on Monday with swollen glands I knew that it wasn't the wind. Now it's Thursday and I still have this god forsaken cold. The week has gone something like this:

I blamed it on the Santa Anna's (the winds, not the city) but when I woke up on Monday with swollen glands I knew that it wasn't the wind. Now it's Thursday and I still have this god forsaken cold. The week has gone something like this:
- Sunday night: stayed in, watched a few bad TV shows, no booze, was in bed by 11:30pm
- Monday night: stayed in, yet again, drank lots of OJ, no booze, was in bed by 11:00pm, read and was asleep before midnight
- Tuesday night: stayed in - man, am I 28 or 78?!?! - no booze, lots of water and OJ, ate a really big meal (feed a cold right?!), and went to sleep early yet again
- Wednesday night: fuck it - went and played basket ball for 2 hours (By the way, I suck at basketball, I'm a hockey player, yes I know I'm tall and should have played basketball but I didn't, I played hockey! and therefore suck at basketball) came home, didn't eat dinner cause it was too late, went to bed, read my book, asleep by midnight
- Thursday night: well...that's where we find ourselves now...
