Immunity from Paraguay is worth two for the Bush
Perhaps you've heard, but incase you haven't -
- Bush Senior just purchased somewhere in the neighborhood of 100,000 acres of land in Paraguay on a huge Aquifer.
- Just a few years ago, the US just installed a military base in Paraguay.
- Currently, Paraguay has promised to grant American soldiers immunity from the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court.
- Recently Paraguay announced that it would not renew the immunity treaty...months later first daughter Jenna Bush went to Paraguay on a "UNICEF charity mission"
Religious Idiots
I don't even know what to say about this...it kind of speaks for itself. Basically it goes like this:
Kabbalah is an ancient form of Jewish mysticism, but more recently it is a fad for Hollywood idiots, much like Ugg's, Avaitor sunglasses and adaopting babies from 3rd world countries.
Kabbalah has on their webpage a red string for sale. What is it? It's a piece of red string, wool to be specific. What does it do you ask? Well you really should read for yourself, but here are a few of my favorite parts:

- Its purpose is twofold: to protect us from the envious looks of others, and to help us eliminate feelings of jealousy and resentment in ourselves.
- By wearing the Red String on the left wrist, negative energies are intercepted at the precise point of entry.
- Worn around the left wrist, the Red String works in the same way as the vaccines of modern medicine.

NBC is afraid of free speach
I was never a big Dixie Chick's fan, that Wide Open Spaces song was good, and every girl I met really seemed to enjoy Earl, but me - never bought an album, would probably change the channel if they came on the radio.
However, a few years ago they stood on the stage and said 13 words to a sold out arena crowd that were less than positive about George W. Bush. The fall out that followed was incredible as people burned and smashed their albums, radio stations refused to play their songs and arenas they once sold out refused to let them play. That was all old news...
This is the new news ~
A documentary film is coming out in the coming weeks, all about that fallout and what happened to them after those 13 fateful words were spoken - AND NBC AND THE CW NETWORK ARE REFUSING TO AIR THE ADS! NBC, stating that they won't allow ads that speak ill of the President won't put them on their network. While it's well within their right to choose who they take ads from and not, I find it terrible that a major network would cower under such fear that they would refuse to air these ads, refuse to promote a movie that simply shows what is happening to our country today, the irony is terrible. Ammendment number 1 just being thrown away, out of fear and out of network greed.
I know not much can be done, and it's well within their rights to do this but I think it's sad, and I think it's even more sad how few people know about these things, and finally how little people are doing about it.
...ugh, i'm just frustrated with this country currently. I wonder if they need film makers in Ireland?

keep it loose, keep it tight
Well I walked over the bridge
Into the city where I live,
And I saw my old landlord.
Well we both said hello,
There was no where else to go,
'cuz his rent I couldn't afford.
Well relationships change,
Oh I think it's kinda strange,
How money makes a man grow.
Some people they claim,
If you get enough fame,
You live over the rainbow.
Over the rainbow..
But the people on the street,
Out on buses or on feet,
We all got the same blood flow.
Oh, in society,
Every dollar got a deed,
We all need a place so we can go,
And feel over the rainbow.
But sometimes,
We forget what we got,
Who we are.
Oh who are are not.
I think we gotta chance,
To make it right.
Keep it loose,
Keep it tight.
Keep it tight.
I'm in love with a girl,
Who's in love with the world,
Though I can't help but follow.
Though I know some day,
She is bound to go away,
And stay over the rainbow.
Gotta learn how to let her go.
Over the rainbow.
Sometimes we forget who we got,
Who they are.
Oh, who they are not.
There is so much more in love,
Than black and white.
Keep it loose child,
Gotta keep it tight.

looking for a black cat to cross my path
growing up we always had animals around, it was just the way it was. there were dogs, cats, squirrls, hell i think i remebmer once we had a baby deer but that could just be the years and clouded memories talking. regardless, i could never really say that i had a pet, one that i called my own. our first dog, a very lovealbe miniature schnowzer was in the era of my two older sisters, and the second dog, a big dopey german shepard was more during the time of my nearest sister and i. though neither one was really my pet.
the closest i probably ever came was a small black cat named ziggy. i don't remebmer the circumstances that brought her into the house, but only that one afternoon my mom and i drove out to a farm where she had learned that some kittens that had been dumped by the side of the road were, and they were looking for homes. we looked over the cats and while her eyes settled on a very quiet, beautiful little white cat i had my eye on a little rambunkchus black cat who was terrorizing the others she was with.
about three weeks ago i found out that she wandered away from the house and had been gone for a few days. news delivered to me via e-mail inbetween the local weater report and what was had for lunch at subway that day. that was three weeks ago. she's gone.
so if anyone has seen, or sees a small black cat that used to sleep down in my room with me - please direct her to beverly hills where this halloween i would love for a little black cat to cross my path

Homecoming Day in Hastings,MN
and today is my 28th birthday...
My favorite random birthday greeting of the day - the Laphroaig Scotch distillery sent me an e-mail wishing me happy birthday and offering me 10% off their story for today only. Yahoo wished me happy birthday, as did the director of Spinal Tap. Only 1 e-card that came in the form of a fortune cookie, several e-mails (some sincere some because Outlook reminded them - hey i'm guilty of it too.) This year was the birthday of the MySpace comment post. It's like giving a card at a party and making sure they open it while everyone is there, that way everyone can see how creative you are, and also that you remembered.
I've haven't been able to put my phone down much of the day. Sister sent a text from Berlin, other sister in NYC from Morocco called and i'm sure i'll hear from the last / first sister who is actually in California. Speaking of CA, got a call from the recently married on a honeymoon with a stop at the ballpark. Spoke with both Floms, my father and my roommate. Gus told me he loved me, and both Reddy's sent their best - all from Boston.
We had office margaritas instead of cake - no place to put a candle but just as tasty. A party downtown tonight - a football tailgating afternoon in Pasadena tomorrow.
Many well wishes, though one less than previous years. Twenty eight years walking this planet. A dozen plus countries have passed under my feet, more than half the 50 states. Stood on ground 4 miles above the sea, and then swam in the same sea (2 of the seven that is.) I've seen my name on the big screen and heard it over the loud speaker. I've worn two dozen tuxes though never been the groom, and been named an uncle 4 times over, and lost several people who were close to me in the past 28 years...
what will the next 28 hold?
...the adventure continues...
