back from the dead

5 days after i realized, and 12 continuous hours after i began the reinstall - my computer actually feels like it did a few days ago before i knew it was infected and eating itself away from the inside out.

i lost a lot of e-mails and my entire calendar, as well as a few random files that i just haven't discovered yet

the scum of the earth

are those little internet nerd pukes who create and distribute virus' I recently got a virus, despite my spending $60 on the Internet Security Program, only to find out that the virus I got disables that very program, and then allows other virus' to enter. It's like that drunk guy that shows up to the party, and breaks into the VIP room, thereby letting everybody and their brother in - making it very non VIP! Not that I'm a VIP, rather I'm that guy that breaks in! But that's despite the point - the point is the pukes that create virus'. It's now been 2 days and 2 phone calls to kind men in India to get this fixed and I'm not even sure I've got it all under control!

the depths of "the industry"

sitting in my office with no travel plans in near sight, i figured i'd write about where i am now, as it is it's own adventure

a mear 30 feet away from me a studio executive just finished having lunch and as soon as her lunch meeting finished and the man she was meeting with, another exec at a different studio, she made a call and sold him out for $500,000. She then asked for a cup of coffee and a twizzler. yes, these things do happen in hollywood.

a few weeks ago, on a different project, i intercepted a card that a manager was sending to their client. he was working on the show i was working on and i had to open the card to see whom it was from so i could make sure they were calledn and notified of when it would be delievered. it was attached to a gift basket mostly filled with wine, totalling in the ball park of $500. The card read "there isn't enough wine in the world to get you through this one, but maybe this will help." moments later i took a phone call from the actor saying how excited he was to be on our show.

i spent 45 minutes today to drive a total of 12 miles. how long does it take you to drive 12 miles?
